I have been faithfully following this program for 43 days. This isn’t the first time that my resting heart rate has been low, but it’s the first time in 5 or 6 years that it has been this low. That number for the most part has continually been going down, and yesterday was the first day that it was actually lower than 60, coming in at 58 bpm. My resting heart rate before a workout when I just started BeFit in 90 was usually between 70-75 beats per minute. The second sign of progress also relates back to the heart rate monitor. □ The belt has been tightened, and I look forward to the day when I must tighten it again. In the past this would usually occur during the yoga segments, specifically upward-facing dog, but lately it had been slipping with everything! I must be shrinking or something. The elasticity normally does a good job of holding the sensor in place, but for a few workouts in a row I noticed the monitor slipping. ![]() The heart rate sensor is an elastic belt that wraps around the body right below the chest. The first this week was that for the second time during this fitness program I have needed to tighten my heart rate monitor. Since weight loss for me has proven to be a poor way to track progress, I have to identify other signs. As of today, the channel has 28,076 subscribers, and that number continues to grow.Day 43 is a rest day, which seems appropriate since yesterday contained two strength routines that together created a tough one! Since today is a rest day, it feels appropriate to spend a few moments to reflect on a few notes of progress that I’ve experienced this past week. The set will be available widely at retail stores in December. ![]() Sure, the videos are available on YouTube for free, so why pay the $20 for the disc and materials? The bonus materials, the elimination of the YouTube ads, and the convenience of having the workouts streamlined and packaged in three discs are more than worth the retail price. iTunes offers a link to download the workout calendar, nutritional guide and fitness journal. The BeFit in 90 Workout System already is available for digital download on iTunes in standard definition ($19.99) and high definition ($20.99). ![]() The set also comes with the Trainer Tip videos from the BeFit in 90 channel, a workout calendar designating workouts and rest days, a fitness journal to set goals and track progress, and a nutritional guide with healthy recipes and dietary information. Over the three-month program, the workouts become progressively more challenging, with a unique routine each day to avoid both muscle memory and repetition. These two ass-kicking trainers lead three months of 35-minute total body workouts featuring cardio, strength training and yoga to burn fat and build muscle. The three-DVD set ($20.93) contains the 90-day total weight-loss program led by Samantha Clayton, an Olympic sprinter, and Garret Amerine, a former Marine.
